Job Summary & Purpose:
The Smart Home Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales and promoting smart home products and services to retail and SMB customers. They combine technical know-how with strong sales and customer service skills to ensure a seamless experience for the customer from the point of initial interest to purchase and even post-sale support. They are also tasked with staying updated on the latest trends and advancements in smart home technology
Job Responsibilities:
Sales and Customer Service:
Present, promote, and sell smart home products and services to existing and prospective retail customers.
Address any inquiries, concerns, or objections from customers and provide appropriate solutions.
Maintain and develop relationships with customers by providing support, information, and guidance.
Product Knowledge:
Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in the smart home industry.
Attend product training sessions, industry seminars, and conferences.
Demonstrate product functionalities effectively to customers.
Sales Targets and Forecasting:
Achieve agreed-upon sales targets and outcomes within the scheduled timeframe.
Analyze sales metrics and data to identify opportunities for growth and areas for improvement.
Collaborate with the team to develop sales strategies and set performance goals.
Market Analysis:
Monitor competition by gathering information on similar products and services, pricing, and market trends.
Identify emerging markets and shifts while being fully aware of new products and competitors status.
Collaboration:
Work closely with marketing teams to strategize and implement effective promotional campaigns.
Coordinate with the technical support team to handle post-sales support and ensure customer satisfaction.
Engage with the supply chain and inventory management teams to ensure product availability.
Reporting:
Prepare and present regular sales reports, including weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance analysis.
Share feedback from customers to aid in product development and enhancement.
Training:
Mentor and train junior sales representatives, helping them understand product details and improving their sales techniques.
Qualifications and Skills:
Qualifications:
Experience (Yrs & Field) : 5+ years
Educational Qualification: Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, or Engineering.
Professional Certifications: Certified Energy Manager (CEM), Solar PV Professional, or similar credentials.
Skills & Abilities:
Proven sales experience, preferably in the smart home or consumer electronics sector.
Strong understanding of smart home technologies and their applications.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales metrics.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and software platforms.
Strong problem-solving skills and customer-centric approach.
