Philip Morris Management Services Middle East Ltd is looking for a Manager Accounting, Tax & Treasury to join the team in Dubai. As a Manager Accounting, Tax & Treasury, you will be responsible for the accounting, reporting and local tax related activities of PM Middle East while ensuring timely and efficient processing of company financials, as well as accurate and timely reporting to the management and external authorities in conformity with company policies and procedures and local statutory requirements.
Your day to day:
Ensure timely and accurate maintenance of accounting records in accordance with statutory and PMI requirements. Take appropriate actions to resolve accounting issues and discrepancies.
Ensure timely preparation and submission of monthly, quarterly & annual reports related to P&L statement, Balance sheet and other PMI reporting requirements.
Keep track of the changes in statutory regulations that can affect the accounting and related administrative activities. Discuss these changes with the management to agree on the needed actions to maintain compliance.
Ensure correct and timely changes in procedures and in the accounting system to implement the amended statutory requirements.
Review and challenge accounting processes to identify areas for improvement from a quality, risks & control and efficiency point of view and recommend changes whenever deemed appropriate.
Maintain a comprehensive overview of tax laws in the Middle East markets to ensure accurate application and/or understanding of applicable laws by PM businesses. Ensure that all the Middle East tax rules and regulation (including filing of all required returns and submissions) are complied with. Update Management on various tax implication, changes and opportunities.
Provide PM Middle East Finance Management and PMI with advice on issues which require knowledge of local practices and business environment so that PM can conduct its tasks meaningfully (matters relating to tax laws, assessments and declarations)
Who were looking for:
You have a college / university degree. Professional Accounting qualification like CA, ACCA, CPA is required
You have minimum 5 years of relevant experience of which 3 in supervisory/people management role. Experience with handling taxes is a must
You have excellent command in English (both written and spoken)
You are a quick learner, an excellent problem solver, and a team player
You have good organizational, multi-tasking, and communication skills
You are expert in using Microsoft Excel
