Key Responsibilities:
Handle Database projects driven by both Offshore & Onshore
Manage databases through multiple product lifecycle environments, from development to mission-critical production systems.
Track projects and daily tasks
Manage patch deployments and upgrades following best practices and provide capacity planning expertise
Provide administration of development database environments including UAT, Processing, Development and QA-based Oracle RAC database
Implementing and maintaining large-scale OLTP and OLAP systems in mission-critical environments
Provide support to Business during the Release process
Upgrading, patching and migrating databases from different database versions
Perform short- and long-term system/database planning and analysis including capacity planning Storage performance, system performance, and database performance
Qualifications and education Reqiurements:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent degree in CS, IT, software or computer engineering, CIS, or any related field of study
10 + years of experience AS a DATABASE Administrator in Oracle
Ability to manage multiple customer projects at the same time (Remote and onsite if necessary)
Proven working experience as DBA in large-scale environments
Experience with Oracle database installation/configuration best practices and Database
Experience installing, building, and supporting Oracle RAC environment, ASM, Grid/Cluster/Data Guard (11g/12c to 19c) and latest database releases
Experience installing, building, and supporting Dbvisit standby for Oracle Standard Edition Database
Familiar with various backup and recovery methods Should have knowledge of Linux and Windows OS Knowledge of Shell, Perl, and bash Scripting language
Ability to handle different versions of Oracle database (8i-19c, Autonomous Database) on Linux, Sun Solaris, UNIX and Windows platforms on on-premises and Cloud (Amazon, Oracle & Azure)
Solid Experience in upgrading, patching and migrating databases
Database performance and tuning experience
Experience in database contingency planning, configurations and support
Experience running SQLT Explain plans and other Advisors
Application SQL tuning experience
Experience in and Golden Gate replication.
Required skills:
Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Persuasive in both written and verbal communication
ITIL Certification
Good communication skill is necessary
Willingness to travel to client sites worldwide if required
OCP certifications
Language skills English is mandatory (Arabic & French will be added value
