Job Purpose
To manage Trade staff members (across various geographical locations) ensuring efficient functioning of the assigned section(s) in line with Bank procedures and service standards and in compliance with regulatory guidelines and relevant ICC rules.
To process Trade transactions maintaining high standards of service to our customers and also offer consultation to Customers in structuring transactions; including assessment of risk and mitigation thereof.
To develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and business partners across multiple functions.
To identify process re-engineering opportunities for improved business practices and cost savings and staff are appropriately utilized and developed.
Support a well-managed risk awareness culture across the Operations functions
Proficiency in all Trade products and providing necessary technical support matters related to Trade Finance to Business/Credit/Customers.
Key Accountabilities
Responsible for providing operational support to all trade related activities of the Bank relating to Import/Export Units.
Ensure self and the team carry out the functions as per NBF procedure manual, ICC Rules, Sharia Rules
Anti Money laundering & Compliance related issues
Promptly escalating customer complaints / Inter-bank disputes to Head of Trade Services
Manage and develop Trade Services staff under their Unit, monitoring their performance recommend remedial training where necessary.
Team Building create and maintain a conducive environment.
Growth and development of staff in the department through ongoing mentoring and coaching.
Back-up of Head of Trade Services (along with other Unit Heads).

To keep self updated with the latest ICC rules and regulatory guidelines and recommend changes to existing policies and procedures
Education Master Degree in a relevant business discipline A minimum bachelors degree in a business related field or equivalent Experience and Skills
Education level
In-depth knowledge of Trade Services Products, mechanics and risks
Detailed knowledge on Trade processing and operations and relevant ICC rules
Trade specific qualification recognised by the Internal Chamber of Commerce
Trade specific qualification such as Certified Trade Finance Professional (CTFP by ICC Academy) recognised by the Internal Chamber of Commerce
Work Experience
A minimum of 15 years of banking experience in handling Global Trade Products and managing larger group of people/teams in Trade Operations across trade centres.
