Purpose & Overall Relevance For The Organization
Manage Newsroom team, working across global, regional, and local earned & owned media spaces to drive brand advocacy, momentum, and sales. Connect our consumer with the content and experiences they are passionate through a variety of media channels including, but not limited to, social media (earned and paid), PR, Influencers, and Brand Partners.
Ensure the brand is always relevant and always connected to our consumers through an industry-leading strategy that focuses on content creation, curation, and publishing and influencer marketing. Direct the right stories to the right people at the right time.
Lead a team of publishing and PR experts responsible for landing Brand stories across earned, owned / paid, brand partners and influencer channels. Steer and lead the development of tools in partnership with country/ cluster.
Lead publishing, moderation and community management of relevant social channels. Create, manage and execute a relevant editorial calendar for all countries in EM.
Land the global publishing plan, according to the latest Newsroom Playbook and Operating Manual with key media partners to ensure the global stories are being communicated at the right time and place. Support regional and local stories strategically to ensure coverage.
Support the decision-making around which local stories will be sourced and covered. Optimize content for all platforms and ensure that it feeds the overall ecosystem strategy. Build strong relationships with global team to increase the amplification of EM stories on global channels.
Build advocacy and seeding plans targeting key influencers in / around EM.
Build and increase followings for each of our platforms through content, engagement, paid media and community management strategies that resonate with adidas target communities and consumers
Provide thought, insights, industry and trend leadership to the team and network, and drive ideas to action.
Be at the center of the market community and publishing touch points, ensuring close collaboration and partnership with various x-functional partners (Brand Comms, Digital, CRM, Sports Marketing, Trade Marketing, Retail Marketing, eCommerce, Trend, EIM).
Partner with the Brand Communications teams (global and local) on amplifying media events (press conferences, interview sessions, media days), consumer events and influencer events, celebrating brand stories, topics and values.
Drive and oversee all aspects of content production, including budget, vendor and asset management.
Enforce the global policies and mandates ensure all global standards around Newsroom guidelines, tone of voice and brand identity guidelines are followed.
Together with the other newsroom network around the world, be responsible for ensuring a coordinated adidas presence on all relevant channels to maximize global impact.
Manage the newsroom budget and ensure investment into programs, stories and brand moments that will maximize brand engagement and drive profitability.
Guide and mentor the wider EM Newsroom team, investing in career development and day-to-day leadership. Continuously educate team, peers and broader organization on Newsroom related topics.
Protect the brand: create and lead on PR crisis playbooks and lead the region and relevant teams in times of crisis.

Extensive depth of theoretical knowledge and organizational practice or expertise across several disciplines.

Deep knowledge on content, editorial and digital areas.
Experience in the field of PR, social / digital media
Journalism and publishing experience in a newsroom environment
Deep knowledge of brand marketing functions and interactions
Experience and knowledge of International Fast-Moving Consumer Goods Industry preferably from Sport or Fashion Industry
Good understanding of cross functional business processes
Languages: English – mandatory; Spanish and Portuguese desired
Requisite Education And Experience / Minimum Qualifications
Minimum of 8 years of experience in journalism, marketing, PR or a related field
