Hello Chef, a rapidly growing e-commerce meal kit company based in Dubai and recently certified B Corp, is seeking a dynamic Senior HR Manager to support our continued business success. Our leader in the development of best-fit people practices, solutions and strategies in partnership with other business leaders.
Our business partner and coach in guiding business leaders and employees on implementing and executing people processes and developing the behaviour that supports our target culture.
Manages the operational execution of HR processes that are smart, simple and effective.
Some of the upcoming strategic design and operational implementation projects this leader in our business will focus on are:
The rollout of a consistent approach to compensation, skills development and talent management.
A targeted skills development agenda in critical growth disciplines within Hello Chef.
To digitally enable our HR practices and processes to make them seamless. This might imply new systems and processes.
Applying the data produced in our digitization effort to make effective talent decisions.
Contribute to and implement overall people strategy in alignment with the organization’s strategic goals and objectives.
Accountabilities, goals, and outcomes:
Steer employee satisfaction, engagement, and retention strategies
Drive impact through business partnering: coaching our leaders and employees and making sure our organization is well-equipped for our big ambitions
Build policies and processes around compensation, recruitment, L&D, performance and others that save time and costs
What youll do:
Collaborate with senior leaders to develop and implement HR strategies and solutions that are aligned with the company’s vision and business objectives.
Translate people strategies into actionable plans and outcomes.
Lead our HR function, owning and continuously optimizing HR practices and processes. This includes recruitment, people operations (including payroll), learning and development, engagement and culture, and business partnering
Design and implement performance appraisal systems, feedback mechanisms, and performance improvement plans to help employees grow and contribute effectively to the organization.
Manage compensation and benefits programs to ensure they are competitive, fair, and aligned with the company’s budget and goals. This includes salary structures, bonuses, and employee perks.
Ensure the company complies with all relevant labour laws, regulations, and industry standards. This includes keeping policies and procedures up-to-date and managing legal issues related to HR.
Use data-driven insights to assess HR’s impact on the company’s performance and make informed decisions. This includes tracking turnover rates, employee engagement, and productivity and making and executing recommendations.
Establish and implement a learning and development approach to grow critical skills
Serve as an advisor to the CEO and senior management on HR-related matters, providing insights and recommendations on how HR strategies can contribute to achieving broader business objectives.
Manage the HR department’s budget, ensuring that resources are allocated efficiently to support HR initiatives and activities.
Work on identifying and developing high-potential employees for leadership positions within the organization to ensure a pipeline of future leaders.
What were looking for:
10+ years of experience in a people/HR role, ideally in a scale-up or high-growth environment.
Team leadership and development skills. A demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing human resources, providing clear direction, setting goals, fostering collaboration, and empowering team members to achieve individual and collective objectives.
Experience dealing and engaging with various levels of leadership, with a proven track record of business partnering across a variety of teams.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels and influence organisational leaders.
Excellent digital skills, with a broad understanding of the role of technology in HR.
Continuous improvement mindset, with an eagerness to automate processes.
A data-driven approach to all people-based decision-making using HR storytelling to influence management.
Experience in building the practices and infrastructure that integrates all HR processes including compensation, performance, skills development and talent management.
Experience in the facilitation of Organisation Development programs to influence engagement and culture.
