Job Purpose
Test the products in accordance with Lucys Quality control instructions (QCI)
Stage inspection of assembly processes and validation.
Keep a log of tested and inspected products.
Work with all inter and intra department team members, participating in continuous improvement initiatives and make suggestions for improvements.
Follow all health and safety instructions and safe working procedures as per Lucy integrated management system (LIMS)
To provide a highly flexible response to variations in demand with minimum supervision
Job Context
He has to carryout routine electrical testing of RMUs, LV Pillar and Acutec products etc., as per LIMS procedure.
He might have to work in shifts and do overtime as per work/company requirements.
He would report to line team leader and line manager.
Job Dimensions
The role will be based at Lucy Switchgear FZE as QA testing technician.
Responsible to carryout day to day testing activities of Lucy products as per LIMS procedure.
Key Accountabilities
These will include:
Test the products in accordance with Lucys Quality control instructions (QCI)
Ensure that the test equipments in the calibration matrix are having proper identifications and are checked for due date of calibration before use.
Ensure that birth certificates are duly filled in and signed off by testing and manufacturing personnel.
Ensure good housekeeping in the testing area and ensure that the test equipments are handled properly and cleaned regularly.
Inspect the units with respect to BOM, if any discrepancy found with the product alerting engineer and concerned production supervisors.
Ensure that the products offered for testing are tested and released without any delay.
Take an active part in all team working and continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure safe working practices are carried out at all times.
Ensure all activities satisfy Lucy quality standards or other applicable standards.
Alert the Team Leader or Line Manager for any discrepancies or abnormality of products.
Offer suggestions to the Team Leader/Line Manager that will improve the efficiency and safety of production areas and equipment.
Raise awareness of manufacturing problems with the Production Manager and work with others to find and effectively implement solutions.
Use D365 and Teamcenter to produce Bills of Materials (BOM) as required.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills
Diploma in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. (or) Diploma in Electrical Engineering (or) Diploma in Electricals and Instrumentation Engineering.
Minimum Experience:
Minimum 2 to 3 years hands on work experience in electrical testing and QA/QC in MV switchgear industries. Good communication skills and leadership skills required.
Job-Specific Skills:
Hands on testing experience of numerical protection relay, contact resistance measurement, CT and VT ratio, polarity tests, High voltage equipment handling skill, Basic computer knowledges etc.,
Understanding wiring schematics and mechanical assembly drawings etc.
Behavioural Competencies
Good communication skill in English language (Reading/writing/speaking) for understanding work procedures and internal communication etc.,
Ready to take initiation/participation in cross functional activities to improve product quality and stability etc.,
