ChampionX has an immediate need for a Procurement Manager, based in Dubai UAE. This role will be responsible for Direct Materials for MEA.

What You Will Do

Follow safety policies to provide a safe workplace for all employees and supports the guiding principles of Goal Zero to continually improve the plant’s safety, health and environmental performance, security, design, development, manufacture, storage, marketing, distribution, use and ultimate safe disposal of chemical products. Drive culture of safety; Report safety observations / incidents
Effectively communicates strategies, results, and metrics to leadership teams as required
Leads, coaches and develops direct reports to ensure strong performance and build high performing teams; including target setting, performance review, and career and training development
Manage and Develop contract strategies and effectively negotiates key commercial and supply positions for to the benefit of Championx business requirements and goals
Accountable for Regional target setting in alignment with global Procurement goals
Stays abreast of industry trends for assigned categories. Provides guidance and recommendations to business units in order to support margin and top line growth
Functional and managerial responsible for EH Procurement teams.
Set goals and develop action plans for continuous improvement purchasing process and performance
Develop/strengthen local procurement process and policies including vendor bidding and assessment, PO placement and tracking, vendor evaluation etc. in alignment with Global / Regional guidelines
Recruit best in class people and provide people management guidance
Implements purchasing infrastructure in conjunction with functions and supply chain to assure availability at required quality & cost levels
Ensures Compliance & Ethical with strategic initiatives including cost reduction, continuous improvement of total cost of ownership, best practices environmental targets, and safety
Works with stakeholders and vendors to ensure required assets are procured and maintained to optimize total cost of ownership
Establish and manage reporting and business requirements with ChampionX’s suppliers
Establishes service level agreements (SLA’s) with suppliers and internal support functions.

Minimum Education And Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, Finance or related field
At least 10-year experience in purchasing management field, with at least 3-5 years’ experience holding management positions; multi-national company working experience is preferred
Proven track record managing teams across different Regions/geographies
Desire and ability to work closely and influentially with other members of senior regional leadership teams at Country / Cluster and Regional / Global level
A flexible working approach with the ability to respond to ad-hoc and unexpected issues, effectively.
Comfortable with ambiguity and ability to work with good judgement

Preferred Experience

Advanced degree in Engineering, Business or Finance. MBA desired
Experience in Category Management
Direct and Indirect Procurement experience
Experience in the chemical/petrochemicals industry
Demonstrated history of leadership, teamwork, and project management skills
Demonstrated competitive drive and strong orientation for results and achievement
Demonstrated skills in clear communication and presentation
Demonstrated professionalism and strong presence in interactions with others.
