Responsibilities

About this Position

Drive IT projects forward in large organizations and translate technical features into tangible customer business benefits & values through a complete technical solution.
Earn a Trusted advisor status with customers and provide a vision around performance management maturity and best practices.
Champion the business value of IT performance management and security through visibility, and business outcomes.
Drive Customer’s performance management skills enablement and document best practices and SOP’s.
Architectural, design & change recommendations provided to application managers & support teams .
Ability to form and create successful ongoing relationships and collaboration across internal Riverbed teams, partner community and customer teams.
Identifying ongoing service improvements, implementation of best practice procedures and collaboration initiatives with customer and partners.
Lead the business to technology mapping activities for the instrumentation of critical business applications and overlay technology impact on key business metrics to develop agreed KPIs to measure service performance.
Design and implementation of applicable metrics reporting and dashboard views for all key customer stakeholder groups including Executive audiences.
The ability to interpret collected metrics and take appropriate actions to avoid/minimise service impacts
Manage communications of a technical nature to all stakeholders (customers, partners, approved subcontractors and account managers).
Contribute to reporting demonstrating the business value that Customer achieves from the investment in the Riverbed Performance Management solution.

General Requirements

Based locally in UAE.
Arabic speaker preferred.
Bachelor of Science, Network Engineering/Design or equivalent experience is preferred
Minimum of 7 years related work experience with 3-5 years years minimum in a Consulting role (or equivalent) ideally in network engineering & operations, relating to Network Performance Management solutions.
Riverbed RCPE-NIV certification an advantage
Technical problem-solving & troubleshooting skills with demonstrated ability to learn quickly
Excellent speaking, business writing and presentation skills. Arabic speaker a necessity.
Ability to communicate & present effectively at all levels up to senior management & C-Suite, with technical and non-technical audiences.
Willingness to travel maximum 30-50% of the time if needed.

Technical / Professional Requirements

Strong technical problem-solving abilities with demonstrated capability to learn quickly
Overall understanding of IT Systems and IT infrastructure and the associated impact on Applications Performance
Solid understanding of TCP/IP and network design, protocols, network components & networks operations at a CCIE level
Strong knowledge of web application architecture and software including Web Servers (Apache, IIS), J2EE Application Servers (Websphere, Weblogic), Databases (Oracle, SQL Server, DB2) and/or Operating Systems (UNIX, Windows)
Good Knowledge & experience of Cloud concepts and migrations an advantage
A solid understanding of multi-tier application architecture
Virtualization experience with VMware systems and software; Installation and configuration experience with ESX, VMFS & storage sub-systems.
Experience with packet traces, protocol analyzers and generic utilities (tcpdump, Wireshark, NetFlow, Packet analysis)
Knowledge and capability with Shell Script, Python and/or other scripting languages (Ruby, Perl, RESTful APIs, VB) a distinct advantage
