ELEKS is looking for an Operating Director in Dubai, Ajman.
Together with Business Development Managers lead the JV, focusing on profitability as well as reaching revenue targets. Implement JV strategy on target product and service portfolio, including target mix of high-value, outsourcing services. Lead and develop a delivery team. Provide value-add to the client in order to help meet clients business objectives through IT. Ensure customer satisfaction. Influence policy and strategy formation. Initiate influential relationships with internal and external customers.
Qualifications
Experience
10 years of experience in IT
5 years of experience managing projects in multiple technologies and functions required, prior experience as a program manager or portfolio manager
Must have worked in such a role & demonstrated success in the region for 3+ year
Experience in building and managing delivery organization
Experience in working with vendors
Experience in delivering solutions and fixed-price projects
Specialized knowledge
Knowledge and actual experience of working in an IT business model
In-depth knowledge of project management methodology and tools
Good understanding of Software engineering and software estimation/budgeting practices
Understanding of basics of financial management
Skills And Abilities
Advanced or native Arabic
Advanced English
Ability to plan, control and supervise multiple IT projects and activities simultaneously
Proven skills in managing within a matrix organization
Excellent negotiation and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly communicate on different business and technology topics to both business and IT audiences
Ability to communicate effectively at different levels including clients IT management
Ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner
Demonstrated skills and experience in team building and mentoring
Education
Bachelors or higher degree is required, MBA preferred

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Delivery:
Contributes to the overall strategic plan for JV focusing on driving high quality of software delivery
Act as a sponsor to all projects within the JV. Provide all required resources for successful project execution
Managing relationships with clients throughout the engagement lifecycle. This includes understanding client needs, ensuring deliverables meet client expectations, managing client communication, and resolving any issues or conflicts that arise during the engagement
Overseeing Software Development. Ensures that software development projects are delivered on time and within budget, meeting the required quality standards. Coordinate between different development teams, QA, and other related departments
Cooperate with BoD and Infrastructure offices to ensure the companys processes are followed by project teams, proactively identify any delivery issues concerning people, process, technology or infrastructure and work with the project team to fix them. Initiate and drive ideas for continuous business improvement
Monitor and control JV delivery team performance against strategic objectives. Maintain effective financial progress forecasting, and report as appropriate
Provide facilitation between the client team and project team. Mentor PMs to work effectively with the clients business
Vendor Management. Managing relationships with external vendors or subcontractors that provide services or resources to the software house
Use developed business and industry knowledge to suggest best options to clients for meeting their goals through JV services.
Team Development:
Set the example for proactively building working relationships within the delivery team, acting as an escalation point for the team and ensuring relationship challenges are addressed
Ensure delivery team satisfaction, keep employees motivated. Mentor and influence senior individuals in consideration of their career opportunities and contribution to the organization
Participate in hiring/dismissal process for delivery team. Interview & make recommendations for hiring/dismissal to make the final shortlist
Initiate and support effective cooperation with HO functional offices or Local Resources to ensure delivery team growth and development
Supervise formal process of delivery team compensations adjustment
Client Satisfaction:
Oversees and improves client satisfaction. Builds long-term, strategic relationships with senior stakeholders in close cooperation with AM/BDM
Monitor business changes at client site and work together with AM/BDM to create additional engagement opportunities
Ensure greater understanding of the clients business as to recommend improvements and provide IT guidance to the client to help them meet business goals
Negotiate to ensure that stakeholders understand and agree what will meet their needs, and that appropriate agreements are defined
Business growth:
Lead the development of comprehensive stakeholder management strategies and plans together with AM/BDM
Work with Business Development, Products & Services and Marketing to ensure business growth per company goals. Support, monitor and validate proposal development increasing winning proposal rate
Process Improvement. Continuously look for ways to improve software development and delivery processes, with the aim of increasing efficiency, reducing costs, and improving quality
Contribute to the identification and evaluation of available company offerings, services or products required for our strategic initiatives
Plan and maintain operational JV budget. Set SMART goals (GPM, KPIs etc.) for projects and programs within the JV. Ensure revenue and profitability goals achieving
Analyze financial data and seek ways to minimize expenses and maximize revenue
