YOUR ROLE
The purpose of the role is to develop, using all of the tools available to you, business from existing and new customers in order to reach and exceed predefined targets set by Management: 1. Customer – KN Relationship Management, ensuring strong relationships throughout both organizations and at as many levels as possible . 2. Positioning ourselves to gain as much locally decided & billed business as possible, including SPOT businesses that may help to prove our services. 3. Position KN to be in a strong position to participate and win national, regional and/or global RFQ’s, Tenders or Bids. 4. Focus more on National Accounts under the consumer where KN can make difference and secure business locally billed and to develop business on the trade linked with MEA 5. KAM’s responsibility to support prepaid traffic as well as vertical owner for the country regardless volumes are accounted or not. 6. KAM’s responsible for communicating for the rates/compiling to the tender document & providing solutions & preparation of Narrative/ RFQ Response document/ Execution Plan/etc. – As per RFQ requirements and not limited too.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly manage limited additional accounts in assigned Vertical as deemed necessary and agreed upon by the National Sales Manager / Business Unit Managers.
Understands the customer organization and decision making process while maintaining / updating Account Plans on regular basis and meet or exceed set Targets & Goals as determined by the company.
Act as the main liaison between Customer and Kuehne+Nagel contacts to ensure an aligned commercial approach and act as the single point of (selling) contact for ALL KN services and solutions.
Understand and communicate local Customer needs throughout the organization and particularly to the Regional and Global National Account Managers.
Negotiates rates with customers in alignment with the BU’s and ensures rate sheets are documented and maintained as needed by the BU’s.
Complies with KN sales management processes and systems and ensures correct and timely updates. And support for driving / setting up SOP’s in alignment with BUs and Operational Key Account Manager in place (if any).
Communicate/support and co-ordinate specific customer requirements (including RFQ’s) with the organization and particularly with Regional and Global Key Accounts.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES
Bachelors degree in Logistics, Supply Chain or a similar discipline.
Minimim 5 years’ experience in Sales and Account Management experience in the freight forwarding industry, with a focus on High Tech vertical.
Willingness to work in a team, able to drive business and potential to come with business solutions.
Powers of persuasion, diplomatic panache, excellent communication skills and outstanding performance in closing deals.
Strong leadership skills, with a focus on professional and personal staff development.
Fluency in English is essential, whilst fluency in Arabic would be beneficial.
U.A.E. driver’s license is preferred.
