The Media Relations & Thought Leadership Specialist will handle all PR & content writing activities to raise Roland Bergers brand awareness in the Middle East and position us as thought leaders in the region. This role will be responsible for writing and overseeing the creation of English and Arabic media releases, reports, and studies, as well as Arabic content for social media. He/She will forge relationships with journalists and key influencersin the region.
Together with the Marketing & Communications Director you will define the media relations strategy, develop an internal and external influencer management strategy, develop a content plan and an overall media roadmap for the year. This role works as part of a dynamic and growing Middle East team but will also be working closely with the global PR team in Germany.
Drive and handle all PR activities including proactive media outreach, media interviews, announcements, award nominations, securing speaking engagements and podcast opportunities for our company spokespeople
Working closely with all teams to support
Establish and maintain relationships with media outlets and journalists in the Middle East region
Proactive pitching, reactive media handling and active media monitoring
Monitoring media daily, reporting coverage and industry news to the wider team and assist in creation of daily and weekly progress reports
This role will also manage all local publications. This will include:
Liaising with the local and global experts on the content
Content alignment with the global marketing team to enable cross regional publications if applicable
Work out the regional angle and key message for the promotion of global publications in the Middle East
Overseeing local publications & translations
Advise on the format for the content, handling the editing, proofreading process as well as print productions
Prepare the website content for the publication (website article & key visuals)
University degree or equivalent in journalism, public relations, or related field
You have at least 5 years experience in a similar role in an international B2B company or a B2B communication agency
An understanding of modern PR AND the pioneering changes in the global media environment; you can drive innovative ideas in this field.
Extensive knowledge of publications and existing relationships with press/media/local influencers
Strong creative outlook ability to research and propose activities relevant to our MarCom objectives
Knowledge of the region and cultural affinity
Excellent organizational and planning skills
Excellent writing skills in English and Arabic with samples to share
Confident and dynamic personality interested in whats new and exciting around the region
Able to break down complicated things into easy-to-understand messages and telling stories in innovative ways
A great teammate, focused on delivery and you like to take the initiative
Languages: English and Arabic (fluent spoken and written)
