The Goal:

The purpose of this position is to ensure high performance, high quality (in all dimensions, including user-friendliness, ease of installation, and aesthetics), cost efficiency, and production suitability in the mechanical design of the Carheal portal and associated product lines.

The positions cover all elements of the product development process, from basic specification over prototyping and optimization to final production drawings, parts lists, and assembly manuals.

The position also evaluates and reports product quality issues

Key Responsibilities

Responsible for ensuring market-relevant specifications for products to be designed, developed, and manufactured for daily customer support in accordance with Carheal standards for service and quality
Responsible for ensuring compliance with norms and standards, such as relevant DIN and DEKRA guidelines
Responsible for ensuring relevant documentation (drawings, parts lists, assembly instructions, manuals etc)for both manufacturing and service.
Responsible for ongoing cost optimization alongside performance improvements, without compromising product quality
Propose and implement new measures to strengthen the Carheal product offering
Investigate and report product quality issues

Scope of Work

All aspects of product development, from developing new concepts to maturing running products to phasing out obsolete models
Always ensure up-to-date documentation, in terms of drawings, parts lists, assembly instructions, and manuals, etc.
Cooperation with approvals institutes to ensure necessary approvals and certificates for the products
Test new/existing products and write technical documentation for them. May also be competitor products.
Customer visits in connection with commissioning, replacement of products, and troubleshooting – to learn about customer needs and applications.
Handling of quality cases (HW/SW related issues)
Give feedback on products to the Business Development function
Maturing functionality and securing quality and user-friendliness in cooperation with other R&D functions, Services, and from time to time the Sales team and key customers.
Participate in cross-organizational projects
Expected travel activities: Approximately 15 days per year

Required qualifications:

Mechanical engineer (BSc Mech Eng, or mechanical engineer)
Experience with product development in all aspects, including mechanical design.
Experienced IT user: CAD.
Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences
