Market Research and NPP Lead META, reporting to the CMO/COO of META HUB, will own the Hub market research projects and performance analytics to support achievement of brand goals, in addition to leading the new product planning for META Hub while always striving for process improvement and innovation.
This role is responsible for managing a consistent, timely market research process and performance analysis across the Business Units in META. This includes finalizing questionnaires, aggregating data, interpreting results, and communicating insights.
In addition, this role will be responsible for managing the new product planning, assessing market opportunities, drive decision on the label and price and align on the launch decisions across META region.
The role is strategic in nature and require working with broad cross-functional team within the HUB and IBU. Therefore, the candidate must bring both a strategic and operational mindset, with strong analytical skills and leadership without authority. The right candidate has preferably done successful brand management experience.
Qualification & Experience
A degree is required (mandatory)
An MBA is a plus
Brand Management experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
Demonstrated track record of delivering results.
Strong strategic thinking / problem solving, and execution excellence.
Market Research experience is a plus.
Develop a deep Business Unit TAs understanding of market landscapes, competitive development efforts, and value needs of patients, physicians, and payers.
Own the strategic decisions of META market research projects across all business units.
Partner with brand teams to ensure quality execution and timely delivery of prioritized market research projects.
Serve as a trusted advisor, by owning various phases of market research projects, including kick off, approach development, definition of methodology, execution, insight, and analysis.
Identify the IWIKs gaps and needs proactively and provide recommendation or solutions to gain additional insights outside of the regular market research schedule.
Communicate the core insights and key findings of market research projects to Hub leadership team and brand teams to drive a positive impact on the business.
Manage the market research agencies with clear communication of research objectives and timeline and ensure the agencies understand and comply with the requests and process from Lilly.
Present final outputs and provide recommendations in line with brand objectives.
Maintain the OPEX dedicated to market research activities and monitor the spending status to meet the OPEX plan.
Ensure research activities are complaint, strictly following the internal policy, procedure, and industry code of conducts.
Establishes in coordination with the Brand Manager the quantitative objectives for the Brand, both in terms of Volume and Share, establishes the monthly objectives for SOM, DOTs, etc.
New Product Planning
Develop a deep understanding of market landscapes, competitive development efforts, and value needs of patients, physicians, and payers. Communicate this understanding with key business partners, primarily to the BUs leadership.
Lead commercial forecast/evaluation and business decisions to commercialize the pipeline assets across META markets. Work closely with TETRAD to advocate META markets, develop and prioritize launch plans based on the market opportunity assessment of each geography.
Lead cross-functionally on the label selection for our new wave of innovation, considering approval timelines and pricing impacts.
To effectively partner cross-functionally with Medical, Pricing, Market Research and Regulatory to develop the launch plans within META markets.
Lead on the strategic long range plan exercise of the HUB.
Own the launch readiness deliverables of the new wave of innovation across BUs until the brand teams are being formed.
Marketing Competencies Candidate Should Possess Entering Role
Product Opportunity Analysis – Leads the process to assess and communicate the attractiveness of new product/business opportunities in collaboration with key commercial business partners.
Therapeutic Area Portfolio Strategy – Leverages customer insights and market data to influence areas of interest, unmet need, and commercial opportunity for portfolio.
Market Research depth and breadth skills of the qualitative and quantitative market research methods, insights fishing, market understanding, operational excellence and project management.
