Job Description
Responsible for the direct sourcing of items from the approved list of suppliers to ensure required material intake and ensure positive impact on Cost Savings, ITO and Service levels.
Maintain item master database with supplier lead times, price, and other relevant purchasing information.

Your role responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:
Issue Purchase Orders to both external suppliers and Inter-co (internal), managing supplier acknowledgements & performing regular follow-ups to ensure on time delivery to meet customer requirements
Ensure Purchase Orders are placed to suppliers on time
Ensure a competitive and technically competent supply base, to meet quality, delivery, service and cost objectives
Maintain item master database with latest lead times, prices and other purchasing information.
Handle item activation for new items
Resolve inbound shipment discrepancies/quality issues
Provide information on the status of MEAPAC orders / progress to internal (Planner, warehouse, etc.) and/or external customers (CS team, LBPs, etc.).
Handles communication and periodic performance review of key suppliers, along with facilitation of regular conference calls.
Ensuring on time resolution of supplier logged invoices & GRNI
Perform inventory analysis activities as required
Generate OTD and failure analysis for Suppliers
Generate and improve KPIs for MEAPAC
Assist in business analysis for Life Cycle Services as necessary
Follow procedures as outlined in the Quality Manual
Implement Perfect Execution principles throughout the Lifecycle Services business processes
Ensure adherence to local and international Emerson Trade Compliance procedures in connection with all transactions and business practices.
Any other duties as deemed appropriate by your line manager
What do I need to be considered for this role?
Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Preferred
General knowledge of material types
Product knowledge and experience in Fisher Valves is an advantage
Knowledge of machining processes
MRP Systems Knowledge
2-3 Years Experience in Control Valves Industry within Procurement or Planning
Fluency In English – Mandarin Added Advantage
