ITS Project Manager – CAV/AV

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented ITS Manager to join our team! In this role you will get to work on an exciting range of innovative ITS and Smart Mobility projects serving clients throughout the Middle East.

The ITS Project Manager will be responsible for leading and managing the planning, design, and implementation of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) projects for a variety of clients in the UAE. This individual will have a minimum of 15 years of experience in ITS, connected and autonomous vehicle (CAV)/autonomous vehicle (AV) planning and design, and traffic engineering.

What You’ll Be Doing
Lead the planning, design, and implementation of ITS and smart mobility projects, including but not limited to traffic signal systems, dynamic message signs, closed-circuit television (CCTV) systems, and other transportation-related technologies.
Develop project scopes, budgets, and schedules, and ensure that all project deliverables are completed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of the university and other stakeholders.
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including transportation agencies, consultants, and contractors, to ensure that the university’s ITS projects are implemented in a timely and efficient manner.
Provide technical expertise in the areas of ITS, CAV/AV planning and design, and traffic engineering to support the company’s transportation-related initiatives.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including transportation agencies, professional organizations and universities, to stay informed of the latest ITS technologies and trends.
Ensure that all ITS projects are in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and guidelines.
Prepare technical reports, presentations, and other project-related documents as needed.

What Required Skills You’ll Bring
Recognized university degree in transportation engineering, electrical engineering, computer science or related field
A minimum of 15 years of experience in ITS, CAV/AV planning and design, and traffic engineering
Strong project management skills, including experience with project scoping, budgeting, and scheduling
Strong technical skills in the areas of ITS, CAV/AV planning and design, and traffic engineering
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations and guidelines related to ITS and transportation engineering
PE/PTOE registration and/or PMP certification is a plus
