JOB PURPOSE
Planner conducts the effective coordination, planning and the provision of analytical services to guide the effective execution of the merchandising process.
Qualifications And Experience
Bachelors degree in accounting, Supply Chain, Business Administration or equivalent.
3 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role in buying and merchandising operations.
Experience in the optical field is a plus.
Job Responsibilities
Planning for stock levels and ensuring timely orders to suppliers.
Provide analytical support through analyzing data relating to inventory consumption, vendor and supply management, procurement status and activities, and other data required to ensure adequate levels of ophthalmic lens SKUs.
Own, plan, and execute purchasing planning process in line with LIC guidance and agreed policies to ensure the best product availability respecting stock targets agreed.
Manage with the guidance of category teams phasing in and out of products and brands to achieve a fast and smooth transition.
Develop reporting structure for the relevant areas according to prescribed formats and schedules, so that information is provided to enable an analysis of the assigned functions performance and to support senior management decision-making.
Contribute to negotiations with suppliers, with analyses and insight on performance and future performance projections.
Assist and maintain relationships with vendors to ensure the exchange of all relevant information so that purchases progress in line with timelines and requirements.
Assist in performing commercial evaluations of bids to ensure their compliance with LIC commercial terms and conditions and price requirements.
Assist in the technical evaluation of bids to ensure they are performed accurately by the end user departments/technical teams, and in line with the scope and requirements.
