About Your Role And Responsibilities

As the Head of Technology at Stryber, you’ll play a pivotal role in sculpting new digital ventures that captivate users. Your leadership will be instrumental in scaling our technical team and ensuring optimal performance and innovation. You will be based in our Dubai office.

What you will do:

Team Leadership & Development: Lead and scale Stryber’s technical team, fostering professional growth, optimizing processes, and ensuring the best possible delivery flow and quality
Strategic Technical Planning: Develop aspects of Stryber’s technical strategy to fulfill our mission of assisting organizations in creating successful new ventures
Technology Evaluation & Implementation: Identify and implement the most suitable technologies to meet current and future strategic needs, both for Stryber as a company, as for the ventures that we built from scratch, as for our clients that need our help in defining the optimum tech stack. Your work could also include a technology assessment of an existing venture, and proposing improvements.
Product & Venture Collaboration: Work closely with product and venture teams to define and execute new projects and features
Cloud Infrastructure Management: Oversee cloud infrastructure, ensuring functionality and efficiency
Quality Assurance: Implement rigorous processes for quality assurance to maintain the highest standards.
Performance Monitoring: Monitor KPIs and IT budgets to assess technological performance.
External Communication: Clearly communicate technology strategies to partners and clients.

About You

3+ years experience as a Head of Technology
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent field;
Proven track record in an Engineering Lead, Software Lead, or similar leadership role, preferably in diverse geographies and cultures
Knowledge of technological trends to build strategy, with extensive experience in cloud technologies, modern frameworks, diverse IT systems, and databases
Understanding of budgets and business planning, with the ability to conduct technological analysis and research
Excellent communication and public speaking skills, proficient in handling complex, multi-stakeholder projects
Fluency in English
Full-time availability (part-time is not possible)
Preferably based in Dubai
Willingness to travel (primarily GCC, but also globally if needed)

Bonus points if you have

Experience as a Solution Architect and in client-facing roles
Experience in multiple public cloud providers (AWS, Azure & Oracle Cloud Infrastructure)
Being fluent with at least one mature programming language
Contribution to open-source projects
