Job Description
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Client Acquisition: Identify and target potential clients in the freight forwarding industry, conducting market research to assess opportunities.
Client Relationship Management: Build and nurture strong, long-term relationships with both existing and potential clients, understanding their logistics needs and challenges.
Customized Solutions: Collaborate with internal teams to develop tailored logistics and supply chain solutions that address the specific requirements and objectives of clients.
Sales Strategy: Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets within assigned accounts and territories.
Revenue Growth: Identify opportunities for revenue growth, upselling additional services, and expanding business with existing clients.
Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contract terms, pricing, and service agreements with clients, ensuring mutually beneficial terms.
Market Analysis: Stay informed about market trends, industry developments, and competitor strategies to adapt sales strategies effectively.
Performance Metrics: Set and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure sales success, including revenue, profit margins, and client retention rates.
Contract Compliance: Ensure that all contractual obligations and commitments are met, including service level agreements and reporting requirements.
Forecasting: Provide accurate revenue forecasts and sales projections based on client interactions and market analysis.
Client Feedback: Gather and analyze client feedback to identify areas for service enhancements and process improvements.
Budget Management: Develop and manage budgets associated with sales activities, optimizing resource allocation.
Market Expansion: Explore opportunities for entering new markets or expanding services to better serve client needs.
Networking: Build and maintain a network of industry contacts to generate leads and gather market intelligence.
Act as an ambassador for DP World at all times when working; promoting and demonstrating positive behaviours in harmony with DP Worlds Principles, values and culture; ensuring the highest level of safety is applied in all activities; understanding and following DP Worlds Code of Conduct and Ethics policies
Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications, Experience And Skills
A minimum of 8 years of experience on similar position
Bachelors Degree in Marine Logistics/ Marine Law/ Marine Management or Equivalent
Additional languages considered an asset.
Microsoft Office skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Excellent understanding in Ocean Freight & Airfreight
Excellent understanding of supply chains and booking cycle
Understanding of transportation documentation and INCOTERMS
Capable of developing compelling value propositions that foster strong relationships
