Key Responsibilities:

• General Ledger Management: Accurately maintain the chart of accounts and general ledger by recording all transactions. Manage both project-related and non-project-related ledgers.
• Closing Activities: Execute monthly and annual closing activities. Reconcile subsidiary accounts through verification, allocation, posting, and reconciliation of transactions.
• Reconciliations: Conduct monthly bank reconciliations to ensure financial records are accurate. Identify and promptly resolve discrepancies.
• Support and Compliance: Support internal team members, external audits, and tax consultants by providing necessary documentation and explanations. Implement audit recommendations to enhance financial processes. Ensure all financial documentation is properly stored and easily accessible. Manage document retention in compliance with legal and company requirements.
• Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary financial information. Communicate effectively with external parties such as auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies. Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures. Continuously evaluate and improve financial processes and systems.

Required Experience and Background:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting or a similar role.
• Proven track record of managing financial records effectively.
• Strong network within the finance community.
• Previous experience working in the Middle East is preferred.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
