GBS Finance Controller AMB Full Time

About the role:

As a key member of the GBS Finance AMB Team the Finance Controller will work closely with the Finance Director AMB. The Finance Controller will also interact closely with the country/territory Finance Managers within his/her area of responsibilities in all aspects of the business.

The Finance Controller will contribute to develop the finance functions into top class performers, and he/she will be an efficient support to the Regional Management AMB in creating a governance focus and sound business culture.

Specific responsibilities include the risk management, internal control, month end closing, financial reporting, investment analysis, statutory & tax compliance, and management of legal structure.

The position reports to GBS Finance Director AMB.

An overview of the role responsibilities:
Support the Finance Director, the management team, and group companies in business decisions with focus on risk assessment, financial exposures and other relevant issues.
Act proactively as a controller on business processes, reporting, financial performance and corporate issues within the Wilhelmsen AMB group of companies.
Take active part in maintaining adequate internal control systems across the Region.
Implement and maintain WMS and WWH financial guidelines and procedures.
Assist in developing proper structures to support efficient tax and treasury exposures.
Ensure GBS AMB operates in compliance with policies, values, code of conduct and ethics standards of the WW group.
Secure GBS financial processes and policies are followed, and that country/territory finance managers receive adequate training and information to fulfil their duties.
Ensure the region operates in accordance with mandated accounting and finance principles in accordance with local standards and applicable law.
Coordinate financial activities in the region and be a resource during month end, year-end and the target process.

Overall profit and loss results and financial KPIs for GBS AMB Region
Internal process improvement as targeted in the GBS Strategy and Core Priorities
Learning and growth through competence development as targeted in the AOP and PA process.

Who are we looking for?

Candidates Should Ideally Have Below Mandatory Requirements
CPA/ACCA/CIMA full qualification
Minimum 5 years relevant experience including audit background and process improvement
Ability to work on own initiative and in team
Fluent command of written and spoken English language
Flexible attitude with excellent communicative and co-operative skills
Ability to meet deadlines through good time management and allocation of priorities

Additional Preferences
Strong interpersonal understanding with awareness of different cultures within the customer base, team and organisation.
Systematic and accurate nature with high attention to details.
High interest and knowledge of developing business applications and Fintech
Learning attitude and growth mindset
