FINANCE CONTROLLER ANI Gulf Region
The position works out of our Dubai office in Abbott Nutrition Division. As the ANI Gulf Controller, you’ll be responsible for Finance Business Partnering, financial planning and analysis activities of the Abbott Nutrition division to ensure informed financial decisions can be made by the leadership team to drive sustainable and profitable growth in the Gulf Region comprising of the countries UAE, Oman, Qatar and Bahrain.
What You’ll Do
Build Financial analytics and forecasting capabilities of functional and cross-functional colleagues by providing training and/or coaching.
Drive Margin and Profit Improvements, Cash Flow Improvements, Cost Leadership projects and operational efficiencies through cross-functional collaboration. Lead certain Cost Leadership projects to successful execution.
Closely monitor sales and promotional activities to ensure full compliance of company financial policies and OEC policies. Provide training to field sales force whenever necessary regarding company financial policies and procedures.
Regularly review local financial policies and procedures to assure adequate internal controls are maintained in the countries.
Review balance sheet items including adequacy of reserves and accruals and supporting documentation; assure financial transactions are properly recorded and meet Abbott and local reporting requirements.
Facilitate internal and external audits and assure that identified issues are addressed in a timely manner with effective remediation programs.
Regularly assess the organization structure to meet changing business needs. Develop and build strong controllership organization to meet both individual professional development and business growth needs.
Carry special projects or analysis as directed by Senior management.
Managerial Responsibilities
Manage the FP&A function with 2 direct reports (1 permanent and 1 contract).
Required Qualifications
Work Experience
Experience – Minimum 10 Years
Experience Details
Relevant working experience in both accounting and financial analysis with multi-national companies preferably from Nutrition or FMCG industry in similar role.
Prior Senior Manager experience in MENA required
Education
Education Level – Bachelor
Field of Study/ Qualification
Degree in Accounting or Finance
MBA will be a plus
