Catalyst Technologies (CT) is a market leader in the syngas value chain. It develops and supplies high-value, specialty process technology and catalysts for chemicals and fuels processing to enable our customers to operate efficiently, profitably and sustainably. With CT at the forefront of the transition to sustainable chemicals and fuels, the transition to net zero is creating exciting new opportunities in this sector.
The role holder will develop and lead CTs overarching external marketing strategy, including the external engagement plan, advocacy positioning and industry-leading market communications. They will position CT as a visible market leader in Sustainable Solutions through thought-leadership papers, engagement with industry stakeholders, high-profile marketing campaigns and event planning. They will lead a team of MarComms specialists supporting the full breadth of CTs product and licensing portfolio, addressing the needs of current and future customers in the fuels and chemicals markets, optimising use of the most effective and impactful channels.
Your responsibilities:
Accountable for developing and leading overarching external marketing strategy and execution plan for CT globally including external engagement/advocacy and communications.
Develop and drive CTs global External Affairs strategy, working closely with Business Development and Strategic Marketing teams as well as experts in Central Functions, in coordination with Group Corporate Affairs to identify needs and JM representation
Identify opportunities and instigate the development of programs for thought-leadership positioning to influence regulatory policies and other stakeholders in support of business strategy and marketing/brand positioning, including but not limited to content creation and participation in industry alliances
Act as the primary point of contact with Central Functions for Corp Comms, Marketing Communications and External Affairs/Advocacy; as part of this role, input in Group Corporate Affairs strategy and implement Groups Comms strategy, standards, and framework at CT level
Develop consistent, impactful messaging and content for GLT/GLT-1 leaders, placing them at events that best drive our strategic narrative and build impactful customer connections
Manage CT Marcomms budget :£1.5M identify and monitor KPIs that will demonstrate continual improvement in return on this investment
Lead and manage the CT team Marketing Communications specialists, focusing on differentiated content
Requirements for the role:
Degree most likely in a scientific, technical, business or marketing discipline
Established senior leader for complex multinational businesses with expertise in external affairs and marketing/commercial analysis
People leadership and development
Substantial experience in managing and delivering the development of significant high -profile campaigns
Experience of developing an advocacy and stake-holder engagement strategy
Understanding of the chemicals and energy marketplace is desirable
