Our client is an award winning technology solutions provider specializing in high profile corporate events ranging from sports, music and lifestyle. With an impressive portfolio of celebrity clients and exclusive events, they are changing the way we experience live events and exhibitions.

As part of their growth, we are recruiting a UAE experienced events director with deep expertise in project planning, execution and delivery to join their Dubai team.

The successful candidate will oversee the project management team who develop project delivery strategies and road map and operational systems and processes to optimize the current project planning and delivery to deliver outstanding events that surpass the clients’ expectations.

Role Summary

Lead and oversee scope of work definition, event planning, resource allocation, logistics and compliance to HSE requirements, to ensure a seamless experience and conduct post event data driven analysis for improvement across all departments for future events.
Budget planning and cost management to deliver projects within budget to deliver maximum value for money and make all projects profitable.
Stakeholder management – build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, vendors and event partners and sponsors.
People management – recruit, develop and manage a high performance project management team.

Mandatory Skills & Experience

5+ years as a technology project director from the events AV, lighting and pyrotechnics sector with strong leadership capabilities to hire and manage high performance teams.
Strong commercial and financial acumen with capabilities in financial analysis to monitor expenses, negotiate contracts and make recommendations to optimize costs and project profitability.
Client relationship management to enhance client retention and create new business opportunities.
UAE driving license.

Candidate Profile

Currently living in the Gulf region – must be able to live and work in Dubai.
Fluent in English.
Entrepreneurial mindset and behaviour to drive business and people growth and continuous improvement.
Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills with the ability to work across different nationalities and organization levels.

Education

Bachelor’s degree is mandatory
