Black & Grey HR is recruiting for a premier provider of aluminum and steel works with a robust presence across the Middle East. Specializing in structural fabrication and construction solutions, our client is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to join their team and contribute to their ongoing success. In this pivotal role, you will assume comprehensive responsibility for all commercial facets of steel and aluminum works projects, with an emphasis on architectural undertakings.

Duties include, but are not limited to, managing quantity surveying functions, overseeing pre- and post-contractual activities, and ensuring the timely and budget-conscious delivery of projects. The ideal candidate will bring extensive industry experience in both steel and aluminum structural fabrication.

Responsibilities:

Prepare estimates, bills of quantities, and contract valuations in accordance with industry standards and best practices
Manage cost and risk on construction projects, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget
Advise clients on the best way to achieve their project objectives, taking into account cost, time, and quality constraints
Liaise with other members of the project team, such as architects, engineers, and contractors, to ensure that projects are delivered smoothly and efficiently
Stay up-to-date on industry trends and developments in quantity surveying, ensuring that the company remains competitive
Develop and implement quantity surveying procedures and processes to ensure that they are efficient and effective

Requirements

Bachelors degree in quantity surveying or a related field
5+ years of experience in quantity surveying, preferably in the architectural steel and aluminum industry
Strong understanding of the architectural steel and aluminum industry
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proficient in quantity surveying software
