To develop, direct and manage the regional Supply Chain function of Canon Central & North Africa, comprising purchase planning, procurement, warehousing and distribution, in line with company objectives and meeting client demand.
To ensure effective cost control and efficient procurement, storage, handling and administration of inventories.

Tender, Evaluation and Selection of Third-Party Service provider for Commercial and Service Operations.
Set up and Monitor KPIs for Key Service Providers.
Selection of cost-effective service providers for Air and Sea Imports.
Set up guidelines for inbound/outbound and instruct concerned party in proper way.
Improve the supply chain management, such as efficient inbound / outbound route, selection of forwarders / proper third-party warehouse considering the cost, lead-time, and quality aspects.
With System specialist, analyze and improve IT systems relating to supply chain, with reference to system compatibility with CENV, third party warehouse and Canon National Sales organization in each country in Africa.
Provide proper shipment instruction including documentation, shipping way/route to enable CENV Logistics / Canon Factories to ship out the goods smoothly.
Supervision of Freight forwarders & Carriers to ensure smooth inflow of Merchandise.
Scrutiny of Service providers invoices for effective cost control.
Monitor the status of the goods under transit and, if necessary, take special action.
Handle shipping documents to ensure efficient Custom clearance.
Supervise the third-party warehouse partner to improve warehouse operation activities including the following points
Improve efficient storage, cost control and performance in lead-time / quality.
Set up and manage the localization scheme of some products, if necessary.
Space projection in advance according to the procurement projection/schedule
Supervise and guide Supply Chain staff regarding L/C checking, order processing, shipping document, to ensure shipment in time with payment security.
Supervise Supply Chain staff and Forwarders to provide correct pre-information about the order/shipment status to the end user (Position of orders, etc.)
Ensure all documents required under L/C conditions are prepared in time to enable Canon to enable timely invoice payment amount from the bank, before releasing the ordered products.
Supervise Forwarder, ensure that clear instructions are provided to the forwarder/transporter and negotiate with Forwarder to improve the cost, lead-time and quality.
Supply Planning & Procurement
Manage Procurement in line with the Organizational Objectives and maintain Inventory as per the corporate guidelines.
Maintain healthy inventory and proper control
Supervise Supply Chain team in Order Allocation, Forecasting and Timely Data to CENV.
Incorporate Current and Accurate Forecasting Models.
Monitor Goods flow to CCNA and Negotiate with CENV for Priority in Allocations.
Ensure complete coordination between planning and Distribution Groups.
Spare Parts Operations
Develop, establish and run a Parts distribution Network for CCNA.
Control and monitor activities of 3PL in Parts Operations.
Maintain inventory in line with corporate guidelines.
Supervise the SMS Team in parts procurement and Distribution.
To manage parts operations in a cost-effective manner to enhance service levels.
Spare Parts Operations
Supervise and control of Supply Chain staff to facilitate timely and accurate issue of Order Confirmations and all other Documents Relevant to Sales Transactions.
Consolidation of Invoices and Order Confirmations cost effectively.
Examine and verify all commercial documentation with reference to Supply Chain.
To ensure that destination documents are prepared and sent to the customer on time.
Freight, Transport & Insurance Management
Develop and maintain a freight network comprising of Regional and International Carriers and Freight Forwarders to enhance CCNA distribution capabilities.
To evaluate performances of Freight Partners and re-align as required.
Marine and Cargo Insurance Management to ensure Proper Coverage for CCNA merchandise.
Customer claims regarding Insurance and liaison with insurance Company for efficient claims settlement.
What we ask
Direct experience in a regional/UAE logistics operation (5 years minimum).
Previous experience of team management in Supply Chain/Logistics.
Experience working with inventory management systems/mainframe applications.
Familiarity with MS Office applications, i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Relevant, recognized formal qualifications (university graduate level).
Fluency in written and spoken English essential (Arabic useful)
Excellent analytical, logical and problem-solving skills.
Motivation, aptitude and accuracy for working with computers and figures.
Ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels.
Full, clean, valid UAE Driving license.
Flexibility for business travel, if required.
High level of written and spoken communications required.
Professional appearance, attitude and communication style.
You will need
Excellent knowledge of Logistics/Supply Chain practices/documentation in the region.
Demonstrable ability to work on own initiative and to strict deadlines.
Ability to prioritize a heavy workload efficiently.
Flexibility to deal with changing requirements.
Excellent knowledge of shipping/Transporting practices in the region.
