Job Responsibilities
Design, develop, implement, and maintain business intelligence data visualizations using Microsoft Power BI for the Analytics Unit of GFG Alliance
Creating and maintaining reports from various sources of data like Oracle Data Warehouse, Oracle EBS, MS SQL, Cloud Solutions, Flat files.
Expertise in building data visualizations to highlight patterns / represent the data from unstructured and structured data sets
See/understand the end-to-end architecture from source system to EDW to data model to Power BI
Provide input/guidance on how to improve/update EDW architecture to be scalable/flexible to accommodate additional metrics/requirements for future sprints
Hands-on experience, building/updating/extending EDW architecture and exemplary visualization in Power BI
Requirements
3 – 4 years of experience as a BI Developer, minimum 2 years developing and building visualizations using Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.
Should be able to define a data model, create and customize visualizations hierarchies and drill-down in Power BI.
Should have the knowledge of publishing, sharing, and exploring data.
Should be able to define model with calculated columns, measures, calculated tables using DAX, clean and transform data with the Query Editor.
Should be able to customize and design advanced visualizations and optimize Power BI dashboards with a focus on usability and performance.
Should be able to configure and setup gateways, developing, maintaining, publishing, and supporting dashboards.
Should have excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Should analyse functional/non-functional requirements and seek clarifications for better understanding of requirements.
Very strong on database concepts, data modelling, stored procedures, complex query writing, performance optimization of SQL queries.
