We are hiring a Fine Fragrance Development Administrator to support the Fine Fragrance development team in Dubai. You will provide timely administrative and project coordination support to the team and ensure smooth operations. You will focus on improving efficiencies for our project workflows, support in managing compliance, and help in achieving increased internal & external customer satisfaction.
Based in our Dubai office in Media City and reporting to the Fine Fragrance Evaluator for SAMEA (South Asia, Middle East, and Africa – based in Dubai), you will join a creative, passionate, and winning team, and support our continued success story in the SAMEA region. In this exciting role, with a ‘can-do mindset, you will –
Administration:
Research trending market products in local brands to influence the creative process in the development team.
Familiarize and develop a deeper understanding of local brands to leverage the local market needs and competitive landscape.
Schedule meetings, take notes during meetings, prepare minutes for internal circulation, and follow up with the team members to complete the assigned tasks.
Conduct internal panel tests of key developments and projects as required.
Assist evaluator on various tasks such as but not limited to sample requests, lab requests, olfactive mapping, olfactive pyramids, and stability tests.
Assist in the preparation of internal and customer presentations.
Assist in conducting technical reworks as required.
Participate in continuous improvement projects and initiatives.
Team Coordination:
Assist the development team with global/regional initiatives
Liaise with different development centres on proactive initiatives that would be interesting for our clients locally
Support and facilitate customer visits when needed.
Lab Coordination:
Anticipate and proactively coordinate with our Perfumery and Application Lab teams to continually ensure and maintain a reliable stock inventory of fragrance oils and raise procurement requests as needed.
Streamline the communication and work methodology between the fragrance development and lab teams.
Raise requests for fragrance application samples in the internal Givaudan systems.
Assist in stability tests when required.
Your professional profile includes –
Bachelor’s or University degree in a relevant discipline.
2+ years of relevant work experience in an administrative or business support role(s) in international and multi-cultural work environments, preferably in the fragrance, perfume, ingredient, chemicals, luxury or FMCG sectors.
Excellent project management skills.
Basic knowledge of fine fragrance
Working knowledge of ERP like SAP, Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Docs
Excellent oral and written proficiency in the English language. Ability in additional languages like Arabic or French is advantageous but not mandatory.
A good team player and comfortable with diversity.
