Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for the restaurant
- Monitor financial performance and provide insights to restaurant management
- Implement effective accounting processes and controls specific to restaurant operations
- Support year-end closing processes and liaise with auditors when required
- Prepare monthly reconciliation of financial accounts to ensure accuracy
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required
- Previous experience as an accountant, preferably in the hospitality or restaurant industry
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations applicable to the food service sector
- Proficient in accounting software and MS Office Suite, especially Excel
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with management and staff
- A self-starter attitude with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
