Accountant Full Time

Company Description

We are currently looking for a highly skilled and dedicated Accountant to join our team. As an Accountant, you will play a vital role in managing all accounting transactions and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. Your expertise and attention to detail will contribute to the overall financial health of our company. By preparing budget forecasts, reconciling accounts, and reporting on financial performance, you will provide valuable insights and contribute to informed decision-making.

How your day will look like:

• Manage all accounting transactions efficiently and accurately.
• Prepare budget forecasts to assist in financial planning.
• Ensure timely publication of financial statements.
• Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.
• Reconcile accounts payable and receivable to maintain accurate records.
• Ensure timely and accurate bank payments.
• Compute taxes, including Corporate Tax and VAT, and prepare tax returns in compliance with UAE regulations.
• Stay updated on and ensure compliance with the new UAE tax law.
• Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements.
• Report on the company’s financial health and liquidity.
• Conduct audits of financial transactions and documents.
• Collect checks when necessary and handle related processes.
• Uphold the confidentiality of financial data and perform database backups when required.
• Adhere to financial policies and regulations to maintain compliance.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as an accountant in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
• Knowledge and experience with Corporate Tax and VAT compliance in the UAE.
• Familiarity with the new UAE tax law.
• Proficiency in working with digital accounting software.
• Possess a relevant degree or education in accounting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Comfortable handling tasks such as check collection and other operational accounting duties.
