Job Summary

As an Account Manager for Marine, you will develop new business and manage Corporate Accounts through the development of sound business relationships. This is the first level account manager assignment and generally involves providing feedback from users to corporate executive personnel. You will drive the negotiations/discussion on services contracts with the dealers, as needed, with a focus on conquest accounts, and support Dealers and Caterpillar Sales Managers in the prompt identification of new sales opportunities

What You Will Do

Develop effective internal partner relationships and relationships with major Marine customers so that sales objectives can be achieved. Work with senior management to develop and implement market strategies for key industries and customers as well as securing commitment of Caterpillar and Dealer resources to assure continued customer satisfaction.
Promote new solutions and upgrades for transformational growth to customers.
Consult with various departments within Caterpillar regarding the direction and strategies that key industry leaders will be adopting in the future.
Consult with dealers and districts about sales and service support of product to “corporate account” customers.
Travel in the field to monitor and resolve issues regarding customer satisfaction and future product needs.
Make regular visits to job locations, foreign and domestic, to provide advice and counsel to potential customers.
Ensure that account decision makers have been fully exposed to the features/ benefits available from Caterpillar products, dealer, and marketing before they finalize purchasing decisions.

New agreements (CVAs), renewal/expansion of existing ones and service & new sales projects leads
Meeting sales and profitability targets
Account planning (timelines, deadlines, meetings arrangements) and proactive registration/follow up of leads
Ensure the delivery of services according to the contractual obligation

You Will Have

Basic Qualifications:

College degree or equivalent experience with 8-10 years of specific Marine industry experience.
English language skills at professional level.
Able to deal with sensitive issues and/or persuade others on new methods of equipment application, new technology and distribution methods.
Ability to work with people from many different backgrounds and cultures, internally and externally, with the appropriate influence and ability to resolve differences.
Good human relations skills – to develop a collaborative/cooperative work relationship with others inside and outside the business unit.
Previous experience as a fully contributing member on significant projects and/or teams.
Ability to travel frequently, mainly within EAME region (up to 50% of work time).

Top Candidates Will Also Have

Knowledge of another European (French as preferred) or Arabic language
