Job Title: Account Manager – Exhibitions
Reporting Into: Managing Director – Exhibitions
Direct Reports: NA
Location: Dubai, UAE
Job Objective:
The Account Manager will play a pivotal role in driving the expansion of Arena Exhibitions in the Middle East. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in business development, exhibit a good understanding of the local business landscape, and possess exceptional interpersonal and relationship building skills. This role requires a proactive attitude and the ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities while nurturing relationships with potential clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough research to identify potential clients and create a competitive landscape for the Exhibitions industry in the Middle East.
Analyze market insights to develop tailored strategies for penetrating and establishing a strong presence in the region.
Develop and implement a Business Development plan to generate leads, qualify prospects and convert opportunities into successful projects.
Build and maintain a robust Sales Pipeline by actively prospecting, networking and attending industry events.
Collaborate with the Marketing team to create effective promotional materials and campaigns in the region.
Cultivate and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, decision-makers, and potential clients to understand their needs while positioning Arena Exhibitions as a trusted partner.
Conduct regular client meetings and presentations to showcase our capabilities and tailor solutions to client requirements.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, opportunities, and client interactions using the Arena CRM software.
Provide regular reports and forecasts to the management team, highlighting progress, challenges, and recommendations for improvement.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Personal
Self-starter, able to work independently with minimum supervision.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
Ability to travel within the region and on occasion, internationally.
Technical
Proven track record in Business Development, Sales, or related roles, preferably within the Exhibitions or Event Management industry
Knowledge of the business environment in the Middle East and the cultural nuances associated with the same.
Good network of contacts and relationships within the local business community.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
Driving license is a plus.
Education and Experience:
5 6 years experience in Exhibitions or Event Management.
