Air Conditioner(A/C) Technician

Job Purpose

To check daily routine, faults rectification, operation of all kinds of electrical and A/C installation tools, operation of Electrical switchgear system for load calculation and distribution, 440V LV switchgear breakers, isolators and replacement of old damaged window air conditioner and fuse, streetlights, BHS and maintenance work.

Functional Accountabilities

Key Activities

• Must be capable to work independently in shift duties.
• Attending every day routine checks of the buildings, fault rectifications, maintenance of water pumps, chiller pump, window air conditioner, Auto doors, flood lights and exhaust fan.
• Must have good knowledge in high voltage systems.
• Sound knowledge of building electrical installations, maintenance of chiller system, FCU and AHU units and BHS system.
• Cleaning of all electrical equipment, air conditioners transformers, backup generators, RMU and conveyor belt system.

• Attend the AC faults, identifying the root cause and rectifying it
• Attending the electromechanical faults within the facility and document the work performed on daily basis

Reasons for Interaction

• Attend the AC faults, Identify the root cause and rectifying it
• Working closely with the AMC contractor and make sure that all works are done as per compliance
• Recommending for AC system upgrades
• Installation of new AC system

Educational Qualifications

Diploma in Electrical or Equivalent education or previous experience as AC technician.

Professional Qualifications

Should have good knowledge in AC systems, Building Electrical installations and maintenance of electrical equipment.

Valid UAE driving license

All staff has the following safety responsibilities and is accountable to their supervisor(s) and Head of Department:

• To comply with the relevant safety requirements and procedures outlined in the Aerodrome Operations Manual and Safety Management System and any other instructions or notices issued by Ras Al Khaimah International Airport.
• To comply with the safety requirements detailed within their training.
• To advise their Head of Department and the Airport Duty Officer team of any safety occurrence or system failure and to identify and report any situation of potential risk or concern affecting safety via one of the following means.
• Report directly to the Safety Department or an immediate supervisor.
• Submitting an Accident/ Incident Report.
• Support safety audits as and investigations as they occur.
